Shoot the J
(EDITOR'S NOTE: Multiple exposures were combined in-camera to produce this image.) Barron Collier's Elizah Pagkanlungan is this year's girls basketball player of the year. Here she is seen in a triple exposure portrait at the Naples Daily News studio Wednesday, April 16, 2014. The senior point guard was the shortest on the team at 5 feet 1 inch, but was one of the most effective. She helped lead her team Class 6A state semifinal finish. The talented 17 year-old senior is equally effective off the court boasting a 4.1 grade point average, of which Pagkanlungan plans to attend Florida State University or the University of South Florida this fall, majoring in mathematics. "I've been playing since a little girl, it means a lot to me to be honored," Pagkanlungan said. "To go out my senior year with this award is probably the best thing I could have asked for." Pagkanlungan has no plans to pursue a college basketball career. (Corey Perrine/Naples Daily News)
