The massacre occurred inside Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida.
The gunman, Omar Mateen, 29, was killed by Orlando Police after a three-hour standoff.
At the time, it was America's deadliest mass shooting by a single person.
It was also the deadliest incident of violence against LGBT people in United States history.
